Snug Harbor’s community is much like a prism. Each resident represents a facet of individuality that, when grouped with other residents, gives vibrant color to Snug Harbor’s atmosphere. Residents come from near and far, and each brings with him or her a uniqueness that gives Snug Harbor its liveliness.
Although Snug Harbor on Nelson Bay was once a home just for retired Merchant Marine sailors, our residents’ interests go beyond ships and the sea. Snug Harbor’s recreational staff plans and coordinates social and recreational activities. Our full slate of activities can keep even the most restless of residents occupied throughout the day. Holidays are always cause to celebrate at the Harbor, and we are famous for our festive parties and dinners.
At Snug Harbor, the resident comes first. We know that social interaction and friendship are vital to one’s well-being. A strong sense of community can be felt throughout the Harbor, and when combined with expert health care services, a resident has the potential to flourish both mentally and physically.
Our facility is HIPAA compliant. Staff is trained on the importance of confidentiality and accountability. Snug Harbor is a Medicare-certified facility.
